Summer 2019 comes to a close as the kids head back to school tomorrow and I can’t help but feel a twinge of sadness; the girls are getting older and growing up so quick it is hard to hold onto these cherished times. This photo brings out this feeling as it was taken last month during our family visit in Tennessee. The fire pit was alight in anticipation of a nostalgic s’mores fest for young and old alike as fireflies darted in and out of existence in the fading light. The kids enjoyed the outdoors forgetting the zombifying light of screens for a short while and all was well in the world. Emily was enjoying the swings as the sun set in a beautiful display of orange behind her. I was lucky to get this shot which will always represent this elusive time of Summers gone-by.
