This red-tailed hawk takes off from its perch after its prey; a rabbit that we flushed with the help of my old dog Beezle. The Gila monster stuff is keeping me busy now, but when I see falconry photos my longing for the sport / lifestyle comes back in a big way. Maybe next year….
