Low-level radiation

The lady in the booth scolded me for bringing my camera into her tent to check her wares. The next five minutes of my life that I will never get back was spent respectfully listening to this person tell me how low-level radiation permeates from all digital cameras and spoils her organic herbs. The two other people in the tent stared balefully at me and my Leica death-ray as I backed out of her tent a few feet to the farmer’s market and sanity. “Pardon my intrusion” was all I could say. The hostility was palpable, but once across the threshold I disappeared like a ghost and got the chance to irradiate myself for posterity.
