Most of my photography these days is functional and not necessarily inspired, so last week when my daughter was at her dance class it was dreary and rainy and felt like a good time to bring the camera. A walkabout around the now ubiquitous commercial / residential area during a light rain is just what the doctor ordered. Not too rainy to prevent taking pictures but just light enough to not get soaked while painting the area with a glow that asked for black and white service. The guy walking the dog in the top photo was in full rain gear, and I am sure he thought I was crazy standing in the street with my camera. I am a Florida boy so a little rain didn’t hurt.
