It’s truly and sadly been so long since I’ve been inspired enough to stop and photograph flowers, bugs, plants, or any flora or fauna. My mind just has not been in the place to see these amazing things, but a chance encounter yesterday put me by a patch of Treat’s rainlily that I’ve never seen before. At first I thought how pretty they were and drove on, but something in my brain arrested the lackluster response and said “hey bud, you’re missing something truly spectacular here” so threw the truck in reverse and spent some time admiring and photographing this native, state-threatened species. I hope this helps to reawaken my spirit, I sure do miss stopping to smell the flowers.
